New Research Guides

Throughout the year, we are always working to add new resources to make your research experience better. Over the past month, we’ve added some new research guides to help you use some of the resources at the VC/UHV Library. Check out the list below to see what is new.

Advanced Searching Techniques – Learn a relatively simple set of techniques involving the use of operators, each with a specific meaning and function, that can greatly Homepagecarroussel-research1enhance the searching experience, saving time and effort while also improving results.

Korean Peninsula – This guide will provide you with information related to the Korean Peninsula. The UHV Community of Readers book for Fall 2013 is Escape from Camp 14 by Blaine Harden. Escape from Camp 14 is the story of a man born in a North Korean political prison camp and his escape to the West.

Literature Review – For a basic guidelines for researching and writing a literature review, check out this online guide.

Primary vs. Secondary Sources – If you don’t know the difference between a primary and a secondary source, this guide will define both types of sources and tell you where to find them.

Slavery – Find information about anything related to slavery in this guide. With primary and secondary sources, this guide will save you time.
