Free Genealogy Workshop

Free genealogy workshop for beginners sponsored by the

Victoria County Genealogical Society.

Presented by Patsy D. Hand, Dr. Martha Jones, and Doris Obsta, this workshop is a great opportunity for area residents to learn how to start doing genealogy research. These genealogists will teach participants about where to find information – online and in your community. Computers and handouts will be available for all participants.

Dr. Martha Jones will also be teaching two genealogy classes in June 2014 through Victoria College Continuing Education. The class Beginning Genealogy 101 will be held June 3, 10, 17 & 24 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. The advanced genealogy class, Breaking Through Brick Walls, will be held on June 5, 12, 19 & 26 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. There will also be a research trip to the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research in Houston on Tuesday, July 1.
