‘The Parade That Never Was’ took place on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10am to 12noon. It was sponsored by Warrior’s Weekend to honor Vietnam veterans and families who have lost loved ones.
Manual Rivera, a Vietnam veteran, conceived the idea as a way to honor the men and women who served in Vietnam but never received the homecoming that they deserved.
Many supporters, young and old, came to support Vietnam veterans for their service by letting them know that they “are not forgotten”.
Bob Allen, VC/UHV Library photographer, took photos of the event which can be seen in this image gallery: http://library.uhv.edu/images/vietnamparade2012/index.html.
